What happens in the school?
Hi everybody!
First of all a brief updating of the events our school took part in.
On the 9th November, just to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Berlin Wall’s fall, the Florence City Council organized a convention in the magnificent Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio. The event’s title was “Firenze senza muri. Europa senza confini” (Florence without walls, Europe without borders). On the occasion the City Council President Matteo Renzi met all the foreign students, now studying in Florence.
We were there too, of course! More than 400 people crowded the hall and listened to the City Council President’s speech.
“You are 20 today and you were born when the Berlin Wall fell. – The President Matteo Renzi said, – Now you can help us to remember, but also to live today’s Florence as a future’s capital, not only to keep it as a past’s cathedral. Florence must always be a place without walls where everyone is happy to live”.
The meeting with the City Council President began with the sound of the chiarine, a medieval trumpet. At the end of the meeting, after listening to the Inno alla Gioia by Beethoven, an Italian guide led us to visit the splendid monumental apartments of Palazzo Vecchio.
A wonderful occasion to join Art and social Commitment, and even to get together with many people like us!
Season’s greetings to everybody!

Events in Florence
Jesus Christ Superstar (live original edition in English with Italian subtitles) - 28-29 December
It is the most popular musical-rock opera of the world. It tells in music the last seven days of Jesus of Nazareth’s life. Discussed, contested, but undoubtedly beloved by rock’s fans.
The Italian version, with the direction and choreography of Fabrizio Angelini, one of the Italian directors specialized in musicals, will see on stage more than 20 actors who will give life to one of the most incredible success of the musical theatre of all time.
The challenge Angelini accepted is a new setting, far from the hippie atmospheres of the Seventies: Jesus will preach, suffer and die today, just to transmit deep and universal truths and big emotions. The audience will listen to the unforgettable songs, real cult songs, accompanied by a live orchestra.
